The Observatory also predicts that there will be showers for 7 consecutive days starting from the "white dew" in the twenty-four solar terms on Wednesday (7th), and the Mid-Autumn Festival will be on Saturday (10th), with short periods of sunshine and one or two showers.

Although entering into September, the weather in Hong Kong near Japan is still very hot, and the Observatory issued a very hot weather warning at 6:45 this morning.
As of 12:00 noon, the Observatory recorded 32.0 degrees, and the highest in Happy Valley, Tai Mei Tuk, Sheung Shui, Sham Shui Po, Tseung Kwan O and other places exceeded 32 degrees.
The Observatory said a dry continental airstream is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.
At noon, the relative humidity in many parts of Hong Kong dropped below 60%. It is expected to be fine and dry this afternoon and tonight, and it will be very hot in the afternoon, with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds.
The Observatory looks forward to the next day or two, which will be very hot and dry during the day, with a large temperature difference between day and night, and there will be showers on Wednesday and Thursday.
According to the nine-day weather forecast, it will still be extremely hot tomorrow, with temperatures ranging from 27 to 34 degrees, or a temperature difference of 7 degrees.
The Observatory also forecasts dry weather at the beginning of next week, with a minimum relative humidity of 40% tomorrow, but it will rise to a maximum of 95% in the next few days.

Wednesday is the "white dew" in the 24 solar terms, which means that the temperature drops rapidly at night, causing the water vapor to condense into dew, and the temperature difference between morning and evening also increases.
The Observatory is predicting that the weather in Hong Kong will deteriorate from Wednesday, with one or two to several showers for 7 consecutive days, and the temperature will drop by 30 degrees to 26 to 29 degrees.
As for the Mid-Autumn Festival on Saturday, the temperature was 27 to 32 degrees, the humidity was 70 to 90%, and the east-northeast wind was level 3. There was only sunshine for a short time, and there were one or two showers.

As for tropical cyclones, the Observatory said that at 12 noon, strong typhoon Xuan Lannuo gathered about 810 kilometers south-southwest of Jeju, with a maximum sustained wind speed of 175 kilometers per hour near the center, and is expected to move northward with a speed of about 18 kilometers per hour. It will cross the East China Sea today and tomorrow and move towards the Korean Peninsula.
The Mainland Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that it will move to the north at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour, and the intensity will gradually increase. It will go northward on the sea surface off the coast of Zhejiang, and then begin to turn to the northeast and move toward the south of the Korean Peninsula to the Korean Strait.
