The action was a few weeks ago, but now it should have an aftermath: climate activists have stuck themselves on a Regensburg street.

The investigation is ongoing.

Regensburg - Climate activists of the "last generation" are currently starting this form of protest again and again: They sit down on the streets at busy and important traffic junctions in cities and glue shoes and hands to the asphalt with superglue.

The result: traffic jams and police operations, the activists have to be "freed" from their situation and usually carried away.

Also the (desired) result: the protest for the climate is visible to everyone - especially in the cars - and has an impact.

In Munich, the sticking to a famous painting caused quite a stir.

Climate protest in Regensburg: activists stick to the street - coercion is in the room

Nationwide investigations are currently underway against this form of protest, and in Berlin there has now been a verdict: A 20-year-old was sentenced to 60 hours of leisure work.

The charge was coercion.

The man had prevented motorists from continuing to drive.

This is also the case with the climate activists who had stuck in Regensburg, more precisely in Frankenstraße.

This is how the

Mittelbayerische

reports .

The traffic was therefore backed up for two hours during the campaign in June, eight activists were involved.

Now it is clear: the activists are accused of coercion.

However, the authorities have not gotten any further, the investigations are ongoing.

Climate activist in Regensburg says: "I'd rather pay a fine than do nothing."

One of the activists told the

Mittelbayerische

about the procedure: "What will happen in the end will probably only be seen in court." He definitely wanted to continue the protest.

"I'd rather pay a fine than do nothing."

In Munich, climate activists started a similar adhesive campaign at the airport and caused a stir.

And in Nuremberg, too, they showed their protest for the climate very clearly.
