Cologne-Sana
Hundreds of people, mostly Russian-speaking people, demonstrated in the western German city of Cologne yesterday, to demand that Berlin stop supporting the regime in Ukraine and lift the sanctions it imposed on Russia.
Reuters reported that the demonstrators raised Russian flags or banners with the name NATO crossed out in a red line.
"Germany is in a mess," said Elena Kolbasnikova, one of the protest organisers, and emphasized that Russia's special military operation in Ukraine was protecting Russian speakers in the east of that country.
Footage from the website showed that at least one person was arrested by the police during the demonstration.
