A fatal mountain accident occurred on Sunday on the Mannlgrat.
A 35-year-old fell 100 meters to his death, his girlfriend had to watch everything.
Hoher Göll/Mannlgrad – A 35-year-old from Sonthofen went hiking with his girlfriend on Sunday (September 4th) on the Hohen Göll am Mannlgrat (Berchtesgadener Land district).
At around 2 p.m., the two decided to turn around and stop marching in the direction of the Schustersteig.
According to the Oberbayern Süd police, the 35-year-old leaned against a rock about two meters high after a bottleneck to wait for his girlfriend.

"Then the rock and the companion tipped in the direction of the abyss and fell about 100 meters down," said the police on Sunday evening.
The man was dead instantly.
His girlfriend had to watch everything, she immediately called the mountain rescue service.
The rescue helicopter Christoph 14 and the police helicopter Edelweiß were immediately ordered to the crash site via the integrated control center.
The emergency doctor could no longer help the 35-year-old, he succumbed immediately to his serious injuries.
His companion was flown out by the rescue helicopter and looked after by the Berchtesgaden Mountain Rescue Crisis Intervention Team.
A police mountain guide then took over the accident recording.
