Russia today added 25 American figures to the list of those banned from entering its territory, in response to similar sanctions imposed by Washington.
"In response to the ever-increasing personal sanctions by the Joe Biden administration against Russian citizens, a permanent entry ban to Russia has been imposed on another group of individuals, including members of the US Congress, high-level officials, business representatives, experts, as well as cultural figures," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today.
The department included a list of people subject to the ban, including US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, her deputies Matthew Axelord, Don Greaves, Thea Kindler, Jeremy Pelter, Democratic Representatives Edward Kelly and Kristen Senema, Republican Representatives Kevin Kramer, Michael Rounds, Patrick Tomei and Richard Scott, and Hollywood actors Benn Steeler Sean.
Washington had imposed a series of sanctions against Russian figures, officials and companies, to which Moscow responded with similar measures.
