Bastian Schweinsteiger: Privately and professionally every now and then in his hometown of Munich.

Bastian Schweinsteiger is in Munich from time to time, both professionally and privately.
Now he has revealed his favorite places.
Munich – "Schweinsteiger, football god" echoed through Munich's Allianz Arena for years when Bastian Schweinsteiger entered the pitch, announced by the stadium announcer.
The FC Bayern Munich crowd adored the midfielder as one of their own, who carried Germany to the World Cup title and celebrated numerous successes with Bayern – including the treble in 2013.
Schweini, as he is affectionately called by many Munich residents, is now in football retirement – and enjoying life in his adopted home USA together with his wife Ana Ivanović, whom he married in 2016.
But again and again it's time to go back to your home country - professionally or privately.
Schweinsteiger only accompanied the Bayern cup game as an expert on Wednesday, August 31, a week earlier he was at Robbie Williams' concert in Munich and posted a photo together with the superstar.
Schweinsteiger's favorite places in Munich: He reveals two on Instagram
As part of his visit to Munich, Schweinsteiger also revealed two of his favorite places in the state capital on Instagram.
The first thing the former Bayern player mentions is the Viktualienmarkt.
You can meet real Munich residents there, and they also have the best pretzels in the world.
Second, he cites Gärtnerplatz.
That should come as a surprise to very few Schweinsteiger fans – after all, he lived in the trendy district during his active footballing career.
He writes on Instagram: "I had the pleasure of living in a great neighborhood with incredibly good restaurants.
And I love the Gärtnerplatz Theater just around the corner.
I really enjoyed living here!”.

Schweinsteiger in the Hofgarten – probably his next favorite spot
Schweinsteiger's other favorite places are in Martin Suter's book about the football star: "One of you".
A day later, on Sunday, September 4th, Schweinsteiger posted another video of him leafing through the book – once on an e-reader, once in the classic version.
He is sitting on a bench in the courtyard garden.
So it's not unlikely that the Hofgarten is another of Bastian Schweinsteiger's favorite places.
There is a lot of applause from the users in the comments on the posts - many suggest other places, such as the Allianz Arena or the Isar.
Perhaps there will be another response to this on social media soon.
