The mother of the journalist who was murdered in Umm al-Fahm: "We live in fear, the police are not interested in what is happening with us"
In an interview with Radio 103, Sariel Agbaria said that her son Nidal, who was shot to death last night, feared for his life in the past year, and that in the past they tried to hurt him in 3 different cases.

Sariel Agbaria, the mother of the journalist Nidal Agbaria, who was shot to death last night (Sunday) in Umm al-Fahm, said that she spoke with him minutes before he was murdered.
"He built a room for his 11-year-old daughter, I said 'I want to bring you a present,' I heard a boom, a shot, I called him quickly and he didn't speak, and I went to shout 'kill him,'" she said in an interview this morning with Radio 103. According to her, Agbariya was shot. in front of his daughter.
"Poor girl, she was at home."
Sariel said that her son had been threatened throughout the past year, and shots were even fired at him in three different cases.
"We constantly live in fear," she said, adding that he contacted the police frequently, but received no assistance.
"He talked to them all the time. But the police don't help us. They're not interested in what's happening with us."

Agbaria, a 45-year-old journalist from Umm al-Fahm, was shot last night near his home in the Kina neighborhood of the city.
According to the suspicion, the murder is not related to his work as a journalist, but an attempt to threaten Agbaria's family in an attempt to collect a debt from another family member.
Shots were fired at the family compound several times in the last two years, in one of these cases a bullet penetrated the window of his apartment.
Agbaria left behind a wife and a daughter.
The MDA team that was called to the scene gave him medical treatment, and evacuated him while performing CPR to the Emek Hospital in Afula, where he was pronounced dead. Police forces that arrived at the scene of the shooting began collecting evidence at the scene, along with scanning the area to locate the shooters. Eyewitnesses said that the shooting incident took place on the street the main one in the city, in front of several businesses that were still operating at that time.
