The term of office of the scandal-ridden British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is coming to an end.
There is a clear favorite to succeed the prime minister.
Or will there be a surprise?

The Conservative race is decided between Foreign Minister Liz Truss and ex-Finance Minister Rishi Sunak.

London – Boris Johnson has been Prime Minister of Great Britain since July 2019 – but his term is now coming to an end.
On Monday (September 5th) it will be decided who will succeed the dazzling head of government.
His Tories had pushed for the leader's resignation after an internal revolt.
And an internal elimination process for the party and head of government search started.

The Conservatives are expected to announce around 1:30 p.m. this Monday afternoon who will succeed 58-year-old Johnson.
According to polls, the current Secretary of State, Liz Truss, is the clear favourite. She is said to be well ahead of her rival and ex-Finance Minister Rishi Sunak.
However, Truss, who is also considered to be a Johnson ally, recently fell to her feet with an awkward year-old statement.
It was about a comparison between British and Chinese mentality.
In an audio recording published by The Guardian

, Truss says British workers lack "skill and zeal".

After the winner has been announced, the change at the top will take place on Tuesday.
Johnson will address the population one last time as prime minister and then resign from office.
On the same day, the Queen will receive the newcomer in Downing Street - this time for the first time in Scotland.
At the end of July, Boris Johnson left the British Parliament.
Johnson's last words as prime minister were inspired by Hollywood and a famous Austrian.
