A dry continental airstream is bringing generally clear weather to southern China.
At the same time, an easterly air current is gradually affecting the southeastern coast of China.
In addition, an area of low pressure is bringing unstable weather to the Pacific Northwest.
At 5:00 a.m., Typhoon Xuan Lan Nuo gathered about 20 kilometers east-northeast of Busan, and is expected to move north-northeast at a speed of about 55 kilometers per hour, crossing the Korean Peninsula to the Sea of Japan.

The Transport Department said that due to urgent maintenance of water mains, some traffic lanes on Observatory Road (to and from) near Kimberley Road have been closed.
Motorists are only allowed to use the remaining lanes.
In addition, the following road sections have been closed due to burst water pipes:
- The entire line of Sai Lau Kok Road between Wai Tsuen Road and Shing Mun Road (except for vehicles going to and from the Ho Fai Garden car park)
- Shing Mun Road (towards Tsuen Wan) is the only traffic lane between Sai Lau Kok Road and Castle Peak Road – Tsuen Wan
- Castle Peak Road – Tsuen Wan Section (towards Tai Wo Hau) near Ho Fai Garden
