Before Jürgen Drews officially ends his career in autumn, he says goodbye to all the big stages in Germany - first on "Immer wieder Sundays", now in the ZDF television garden.
With all the applause and the good mood, a pinch of remorse can be felt in the hit star.
Isn't the king of Mallorca retiring after all?
Mainz - The 15th edition of this year's ZDF television garden was all about the motto: cult hits.
Jürgen Drews took the opportunity to say goodbye to the ZDF television garden before retiring from Schlager.
However, it almost sounds as if the king of Mallorca regrets having announced his career end.

Jürgen Drews, one of the biggest German pop stars of all time, was not officially on the TV Garden guest list, but he insisted on stopping by Andrea Kiewel before his career ended.
The local fans were of course over the moon, clapping and cheering loudly.
"Yes, Jürgen will sing and we have prepared 400 encores," says Andrea Kiewel to her audience.
During his TV garden appearance, a pinch of remorse can be felt in the hit star.

But before Jürgen Drews sings his greatest hits, there is a little chat.
"I'm doing great," Jürgen Drews answers when asked how he's doing.
But the hit star can hardly say a sentence without a fan shouting something at him or the applause getting too loud.
Ireen Sheer also says goodbye: last TV appearance on the ZDF television garden
Not only Jürgen Drews is retiring from Schlager this year, Ireen Sheer is also ending her career.
She has been on stage for over 50 years, now it's over.
Her appearance on the ZDF television garden on September 4th, 2022 was her last TV appearance.
"Leaving is like a new life," said Ireen Sheer after her performance.
"I thank you for your skills, the art and the music," says Andrea Kiewel, visibly touched by the pop singer.

Of course, Jürgen Drews doesn't mind that.
The hit star obviously enjoys the applause and the recognition of his fans.
"I'm just thinking about this: maybe I should have stopped more often.
I've never had such a success,” says Jürgen Drews to Andrea Kiewel.
Does Uncle Jürgen back down and not go into Schlager pension?
After all, he wouldn't be the first hit star to announce his career but can't - or don't want to - say goodbye to the stage.
Peter Kraus, for example, is currently planning his sixth farewell tour.

It remains to be seen whether Jürgen Drews will actually say goodbye to the stage forever.
His last official appearance so far was in October at Florian Silbereisen's hit boom.
Will Helene Fischer also be there?
More and more speaks for it.
There is no official information yet, but we asked MDR whether Helene Fischer was performing in the Schlager boom.
