The British singer Ed Sheeran is coming to Munich.

The superstar plays three concerts in a row in the Munich Olympic Stadium.

All advance information about the event.

Munich – Ed Sheeran was on the road for his last tour for three years.

Between 2017 and 2019, the singer toured 43 countries with his "Divide Tour".

After the three-year Corona break, the artist is now starting again - and is coming to Munich, among other places.

Ed Sheeran concerts in Munich: organizer promises "brand new production setup"

After Andreas Gabalier, Helene Fischer and Robbie Williams, the next superstar is now in the starting blocks to inspire Munich's music fans.

Ed Sheeran fans will get their money's worth on three consecutive evenings from September 10th to 12th in Munich's Olympic Stadium.

German fans can look forward to hearing his album =, which he released in October 2021, live for the first time.

As the organizer

FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH

reports, the visitors can expect a very special stage setup: They will "witness a brand new production setup, whose central element, in the truest sense of the word, is a stage in the middle of the stadium, surrounded by fans, will be," says

"Solo Artist of the Year 2021" - recently numerous awards for Sheeran

The artist had recently cleared up a lot in the music scene: the British magazine GQ had named him “Solo Artist of The Year” in 2021.

Even before the corona pandemic, he had already won several awards at the Grammys and the Brit Awards.

So it's no wonder that his last tour, according to the promoter, "broke all records" and was "chosen as the best-attended and best-selling tour of all time".

If all goes well, his weekend concerts could be similarly successful, albeit to a lesser extent.

But the weather would have to play along for that.

According to

Wetteronline

, concert fans can expect mild temperatures between eleven and 22 degrees.

A few showers and thunderstorms are also possible.

Uncomfortable start to the concert: weekend weather brings showers and thunderstorms

The weather service expects uncomfortable conditions, especially on the first two days of the concert.

The first rain showers with thunderstorms have already announced for Saturday and Sunday.

Five to ten liters are possible spread over the day on Saturday, and gusts of wind up to 40 km/h were also reported.

The wind is expected to drop a bit by Sunday.

At least on Monday it is expected to remain dry with a slightly cloudy sky.

In the run-up to the concert, the organizer points out that fans can buy a maximum of six tickets per concert.

Scorpio

also refers to the protection of minors: "Children between the ages of 6 and under 14 may only be admitted if accompanied by a person with custody or a person responsible for education," says the concert organizer.

Note for the underground journey: sporting event on Sunday

The Munich Olympic Stadium pointed out to concert-goers who want to attend the concert on Sunday that a sporting event is taking place on Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz on that day.

"We therefore ask all concert visitors who arrive by subway to use either the Kolehmainenweg and the Hanns-Braun-Bridge to the north entrance of the stadium or the Willi-Gebhard-Ufer to the south entrance of the stadium," according to a statement from the Olympic Park.

Ed Sheeran had already played the first of nine Germany concerts in Gelsenkirchen in July.

Two months earlier, the Briton had become a father for the second time.
