Prime Minister Boris Johnson's successor has been decided: now the city's most important mouse hunter shares his home on London's Downing Street with Liz Truss.
For more than ten years, tomcat Larry has lived at 10 Downing Street in London and pursued his profession as a mouse hunter.
Brits have loved their 'tabby' cat since then Prime Minister David Cameron adopted him from an animal rescue center in 2011 and moved him to Westminster.
According to

, it conveys something like stability and security in turbulent and troubled times.
Accordingly, the cat is treated to "gifts and treats" by his fans every day, the government reports on its website.

Now the 15-year-old former street cat has to get used to a new roommate for the fourth time.
Because just because Boris Johnson is packing his bags doesn't mean the popular cat is moving out.
After all, this is about the "Chief Mouser to the Cabinet", i.e. the Supreme Mouse Catcher of the Cabinet.
Larry will now live with former Secretary of State Liz Truss.

But some cat owners are now wondering: why doesn't Larry move out with them?
Because the cat doesn't belong to Boris Johnson or any of the former heads of government (David Cameron, Theresa May).
It's something like "government property" and counts as inventory.
The employees of the seat of government take care of the animal and care for and care for it.
Over time, the cat Larry has risen to fame and, with over 655,000 followers, has taken social media by storm with his humorous Twitter account

.
And in it, "the cat" keeps reporting on the many exciting adventures he experiences in everyday life as the chief mouse hunter, and the great personalities he meets.
However, it is made clear that this is not an "official account".
And with a wink, "Twitter-Larry" stated at the request of the
