Gilching is struggling to win 2:1 at the ailing Bavarian League relegated Schwabmünchen

Gilching – There are also three points for less glamorous victories.

In this category was the guest appearance of TSV Gilching at TSV Schwabmünchen, which the men of coach Peter Schmidt narrowly won 2-1.

"At the moment we can't in any way call up in the game what is shown in training during the week," Schmidt was surprised that his squad didn't bring the PS to the street, i.e. the pitch, with the crisis-plagued Swabians.

The spectators were only offered football lean food over 90 minutes at the third from last.

Especially on the offensive, the Gilchinger were indisposed over long stretches.

A single chance in the first half of Max Hölzl was the poor yield of the guests.

Otherwise, idling dominated the action, since little came from the home side.

After the break, the game got a little livelier because Schwabmünchen took the lead out of nowhere with a long-range shot from Thomas Rudolph (55th).

The referee then brought color into play with numerous yellow cards and Gilching's Marcel Ebeling proved to be a master of the dead ball.

First, Ebeling (62nd) circled a free kick past the wall and under the bar to make it 1-1.

After that, the guests had more possession of the ball against the Bayernliga relegated team, with mandatory actions still being a rarity.

Shortly before the end, the Gilchinger were lucky that the referee considered an action by Schwabmünchen keeper Soma Orban against Plator Doqaj as worthy of a penalty.

"I wouldn't have given it," Schmidt commented on the whistle after the keeper had stopped the ball with one hand and then ran into Doqaj.

Ebeling didn't care.

He pocketed the penalty to make it 2-1, which was ultimately enough for a threesome,

Before the home game on Friday (7.30 p.m.) against SC Olching, TSV improved to third place with their fifth win of the season.
