A policeman was dragged a few meters during a traffic check that went wrong in the popular district of Bécheville.

The short nine-second video of the intervention shot by a local resident is already viral on social networks.

According to BFM, a patrol was preparing to control a vehicle traveling at high speed when the driver refused to stop before driving in the wrong direction and hitting another car.

The two occupants then got out of their vehicle to flee on foot.

One of the two, caught by the police, managed to slip his head forward through the open window of another car in a parking lot.

One of the officials then clung to the fugitive's legs which protruded from the right side to get him out, but the driver took off with a bang, dragging the officer for a few meters.

No arrest at this time

The policeman, who finally let go, was slightly injured.

An investigation was opened by the Versailles prosecutor's office, and entrusted to the Mureaux police station, "for intentional violence with a weapon on a person holding public authority".

No one has been arrested so far.
