Magdalena Ruiz Guiñazú, a prestigious Argentine journalist and broadcaster, died at the age of 87, reported Radio Miter, a medium where she presented her most recent program.
Ruiz Guiñazú practiced since 1974 the profession both in graphics, radio and television.
During his career he received 15 Martín Fierro Awards, including the Gold Award in 1994 for his career.
He also won the Konex Award for Brilliance in 2007, after the Platinum that he was awarded in 1991.
Co-founder and twice president of the Association of Journalists for Independent Journalism, she was also summoned in 1983 by the then president of Argentina, Raúl Alfonsín, to join the National Commission on the Disappearance of Persons (Conadep), whose work concluded with the report "Never more".
Ruiz Guiñazú worked in the main national media, including Channel 7, Channel 13 and Channel 9. There, together with Joaquín Morales Solá, he hosted "Two in the news".
