There are currently problems with the post all over the country.

This negative trend has also left its mark on Murnau.

An entrepreneur who urgently needs reliable delivery is now going public.

Murnau

– Leo Laubender has had enough.

The boss of the Murnau-based company Hauser heating and sanitary technology has had problems with the postal delivery for a long time.

According to him, the company, which is located on Pfarrstraße, did not receive any shipments for four days last week.

Sometimes 40 would come at once.

"We also get foreign mail," he says.

And opened letters that seem to have ended up with a different recipient and were accidentally opened.

"We are cut off from the world postal technology," summarizes Laubender.

"It is a disaster.

We have massive problems.”

"killer pull-ups"

Because the company, like most other companies, relies on reliable and regular delivery.

The company almost didn't get an order worth half a million euros because urgently awaited letters didn't arrive.

As an exception, a health insurance company then agreed to send a certificate by e-mail.

One had to do “mortal pull-ups”, reports Laubender.

"It's awesome." In between there was a month's rest, the letters came regularly.

But "now it's drastic".

Laubender emphasizes that the post office has a delivery obligation.

The Hauser company has already turned on the Federal Network Agency.

"It totally fizzled out." The complaint was forwarded to Deutsche Post.

From this then came a "08/15 letter".

Laubender owns several of this variety.

Reference to infection numbers

Post press spokesman Dieter Nawrath also regrets "that the customer is not satisfied with our services".

The spokesman explains that the delivery in Murnau is currently not working properly with a “significantly” increased sick leave.

The summer wave of infections, which is currently affecting all of Germany, is not leaving Deutsche Post untouched.

The number of infections is also associated with a total number of positive cases in the production sites.

"Due to the dynamic development, we cannot rule out that there will be temporary delays in operational processes in individual regions." Swiss Post is doing everything to ensure "that the delays last a maximum of one day".

At the Hauser company, there has been a problem with delivery for around a year.

Therefore, the problem cannot only be due to the increased sick leave, says Laubender.

He puts it down to a restructuring.

In Habach, the yellow giant built one of the largest delivery bases in Germany in 2021.

The one that was located in the old Murnau post office building was history (we reported).

When asked about the restructuring, Nawrath admits: "In this case, unfortunately, there were operational problems that have fortunately now been resolved."
