An investigation was opened by the Versailles prosecutor's office, and entrusted to the Urban Security Brigade (BSU) of Les Mureaux. No arrests have been made at this stage.

"Everything happened in less than a minute, the policeman did not even have time to realize

," reports a police source.

Monday, September 5, late afternoon, in the Mureaux district (Yvelines), a police major was dragged several meters by a car while trying to arrest an individual.

The facts occurred around 6:30 p.m., in the heart of the Bècheville space.

A police rescue patrol then spotted a motorist driving dangerously.

It circulates at high speed and does not hesitate to take a lane in the opposite direction.

The police immediately decide to carry out a check.

Far from complying, the driver accelerates and ends up hitting another vehicle.

He then flees on foot but is quickly caught by a civil servant, an experienced police major who leads a police rescue squad.

The policeman barely had time to grab hold of the fugitive's legs as the latter jumped head first into another car, whose window, on the passenger side, remained open.

The driver of this second vehicle starts with a bang, dragging the agent for several tens of meters, hanging from the legs of the suspect, before he finally lets go.

"He had very good reflexes, which allowed him to cushion his fall and not hurt himself too much

," notes the same police source.

In fact, the official miraculously escaped with a few bruises.

An investigation was opened by the Versailles prosecutor's office, and entrusted to the Urban Security Brigade (BSU) of Les Mureaux.

Although the two vehicles in question were found, empty of any occupant, no arrests have taken place at this stage.

The police major meanwhile resumed his service on Tuesday morning.

On the pedestrian side, four were seriously injured and two transported to Purpan hospital with a vital prognosis.
