Tartous-Sana
The theatrical performance concluded with a dialogue table of theatrical youth and youth days event 2022, which was held over three days in the cultural centers of Tartous, Banias and Safita and included the presentation of theatrical performances in addition to a seminar on theater and various activities.
The author and director of the work, Evan Nabulsi, said in a statement to SANA: This is the first show and his first directing experience, while he has been working in the field of writing and theater acting since 2008, pointing out that the work falls within the framework of black comedy and is based on four main pillars to draw attention to it, which are memories and passion. And love and time to communicate certain ideas.
The show, which was embodied by three young university women, in addition to the writer and director of the text, chose to keep their real names so that the show began and ended in the classical language, moving between it in a simplified colloquial language with the introduction of ancient poetic texts that serve the purpose in a way that says that the play somewhere is an experimental rehearsal for the work.
The play presents ideas through its characters with expressive dances in which Western issues are intertwined with Eastern society, so that each actor presents an idea of those ideas, as Reham Nader said, who did not find it difficult to stand for the first time to realize her dream of theatrical representation.
Ivana Suleiman considered that the idea of the text and the way it was presented encouraged her to appear first on the stage, and Sarah Nabulsi saw that their presence as university youth with multiple specializations embodies a certain idea in a dramatic and social comic style is an invitation for everyone to express their opinions freely and boldly to prove their presence and their ability to excel and create.
