Attempted attack: A terrorist tried to attack a soldier with a hammer near Ramallah - and was killed
The terrorist was approaching a military post near the Palestinian village of Beitin, when he saw a soldier getting out of one of the vehicles.
The Palestinian attacked the soldier while holding a hammer, and at the end of a struggle between the two, the terrorist was shot dead.
The IDF said that a knife was also found on the terrorist's body. The soldier's condition is minor

An attempted terrorist attack took place tonight (Thursday) near a military post near the Palestinian village of Beitin, near Ramallah.
The terrorist tried to attack the soldier with a truncheon, and was shot by the soldier at the post.
The soldier's condition is easy.
The attempted attack took place a little after midnight, when a soldier, at the time the driver of the vehicle, got out of his vehicle, near a temporary checkpoint at the Beitin junction.
A Palestinian recognized the soldier and charged at him holding a hammer.
The soldier struggled with the terrorist and fired two bullets at him, at which point one of the commanders arrived at the scene of the incident and also fired at the terrorist.

The IDF reported that the soldier involved in the incident was wounded in the face, and received medical treatment on the spot. It was also reported that after the terrorist was killed, his body was searched, and a knife and a bag of papers were found.
