Colombian cyclist Rigoberto Urán, of the EF Education-EasyPost team, won stage 17 of the Vuelta a España on Wednesday, which is one of the three great races in the world of cycling (along with the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia).
With this victory, Urán joined the select club of cyclists who have managed to win stages in the three great races of this sport.

Stage 17 of the Vuelta a España, which goes from Aracena to the Tentudía Monastery and consists of 162.3 km, had an exciting closing in the last kilometer.
Both the Frenchman Quentin Pacher (second place) and the Spanish Jesús Herrada (third) pressed in those remaining thousand meters and reached the finish line with very little difference, but Urán's closure was hardly better than that of his two rivals.

With this victory and with four stages remaining in the Vuelta a España, the Colombian Urán was placed in ninth position in the general classification, which is led by the Belgian Remco Evenepoel.
