Damascus-SANA

Interactive workshops have been launched in various Syrian universities for the wounded in war operations who will complete their university education after they successfully achieved this year's high school certificate.

The Wounded Al-Watan Project explained on its Facebook page that it is working with the National Union of Syrian Students and the Ministry of Higher Education to introduce the successful wounded in the secondary education certificate to the mechanism of applying for general differentiation and choosing the appropriate university majors for them according to the results they achieved in the secondary education certificate.

The project pointed out that the interactive workshops provided an explanation of the different education systems (virtual, public, open and special grants) to support the wounded's choices in completing their university studies and how to choose the best specialization.

The project indicated that this year, the wounded will be from all categories of disability (partial, sub-total and total) within universities and institutes after the expansion of the project, as educational support constitutes an opportunity to enhance the educational and professional aspirations of the wounded and their aspirations towards the labor market.

It is noteworthy that 155 wounded people from different percentages of disability took the secondary certificate exams for this year, 138 of them succeeded.
