A man killed his mother and his wife with knives and slightly injured one of his children, a teenager, this Wednesday, September 7 morning in Marseille, before being arrested by the Raid police, we learned with the Marseille public prosecutor's office.
The wife, hospitalized in absolute emergency, died at the end of the morning as a result of her injuries.
Two other children present on the spot, at their grandmother's home, are unharmed.
The Raid police intervened on the scene, in the popular district of Le Panier, in the heart of Marseille, after the report of a man entrenched with a knife.
According to relatives interviewed on the spot by AFP, the man, in his forties, was well known in the neighborhood.
No one has mentioned psychiatric problems that could explain such a sudden surge of violence.
The public prosecutor of Marseille, Dominique Laurens, announced a press conference on this case Wednesday afternoon at 5:00 p.m.
