Shopping and other errands in a special atmosphere: This is what the planning of the new retail center that has now been presented in Moosburg promises.

Moosburg

– The future Moosburg retail center near the Amperauen on the Westtangente has now seen its first appearance: after the city council’s decision was not made public, the investor S&P Commercial Development and the Brückner architectural office presented the planning to the public.

S&P Managing Director Johannes Pohl presented some examples of retail center or hotel projects, some in connection with apartments.

He tried to show that retail centers do not have to be typical buildings, but can also embody aesthetics.

"We don't stop thinking at our property lines," said Pohl.

Already the first names of dealers

The Munich architect Laurent Brückner then presented a plan in which the rounded shape of the almost 19,000 square meter property was incorporated into the three buildings.

The central building is intended to be a medical center with 2,359 square meters of floor space for practices and offices.

A drugstore with a sales area of 725 square meters and a pharmacy with a sales area of 126 square meters are planned for the ground floor.

This building is framed by a full-range store with 2,077 square meters of retail space and a discounter with 1,539 square meters of retail space.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

In the plans, visualizations and descriptions presented, the names Edeka, Aldi and dm were mentioned for the three large stores.

Johannes Pohl explained that he was talking to a Moosburg pharmacist at the pharmacy.

Michael Stanglmaier (Greens) gave the investors the wish that Moosburg would look good on an orthopaedist, but that there was also a need for physiotherapy offers.

"The goal should be recruiting new doctors," said Rudolf Heinz (CSU).

The city council associates the medical center with the wish that the health infrastructure will be improved in this way.

Johannes Pohl was in good spirits to arouse interest with an attractive plan when advertising the Moosburg property in medical journals.

A café and lots of photovoltaics

Architect Laurent Brückner explained that with the 280 car and 152 bicycle parking spaces, the aim was to have short distances between the buildings and also to create a meeting point with a high quality of stay.

A 3D view showed a café at the full-range retailer as an example.

Compared to the original planning, the number of photovoltaic systems was increased from two to all three roofs.

Johannes Pohl assured the city councilors that a large part of the energy required in the retail center would be generated on site.

In addition, thanks to the use of a lot of wood, it should also be built sustainably.

Street name of driveway is fixed

The entrance to the new Moosburg retail center is given the name "Amperpark".

Mayor Josef Dollinger's favorite proposal was accepted with a narrow majority.

The administration made two suggestions, “Amperpark” and “Am Amperkreisel”.

Johannes Becher (Greens) had contributed another with the "Wacholderweg" - based on the streets named after bushes in the adjacent residential area.

Like Becher, Julian Grübl (Fresh) also warned against starting a third street with "Amper": "Then there is a risk that at some point a truck will be parked in Amperwehrstraße." Gerhard-Michael Welter's ( AfD) clearly crushed with 2:18.

Dollinger's "Amperpark" was the first to be voted on, for which there was a direct majority of 12:8.
