Miriam Al-Hori, the mother and grandmother of the murdered women from Lod, Manar and Hadra, told 103FM today (Wednesday) in an interview that she was asleep when the murder happened, and was called to the hospital by her grandmother.

"She told me that Manar was killed, I got up straight away and went to the hospital," Miriam said.

"We sat there and they told us she had 'passed away'. I ran home. I said I didn't want to see them like that, that I was scared."



According to her, she does not know who tried to hurt them.

"The whole city loves Manar, we didn't do anything to anyone."

She also said that she met Miriam, her granddaughter who was rescued and is named after her.

"I said I wanted her in my house, and they told me, 'No, we have information that they want to kill her too. I said, 'Who?', they told me, 'They don't know.'"



She said that her granddaughter told her that she didn't see anything from the incident itself "'I fell and I didn't see anything'".

According to her, she knew that her mother and sister were no longer alive.

Manar Hajaj, 34, and her 14-year-old daughter Hadera were shot to death on the night between Monday and Tuesday in Lod, their city of residence.

The second daughter, Miriam, the twin sister of the girl who was killed, is being treated at the hospital in moderate condition.

The police have opened an investigation into the case and the circumstances of the incident are being examined.



According to the Abraham Initiatives Association, since the beginning of the year 75 people have been killed in Arab society in violent incidents that included the use of firearms.

However, police spokesman Eli Levy said yesterday in response to the incident that the organization: "is doing a good job."

In an interview with 103FM, he responded to criticism of the police's handling of violence and murders in Arab society, clarifying: "In 2022, the Israeli police thwarted sixty attempted murders."
