A strengthening of the legislative arsenal since 2018
In early August, Gérald Darmanin announced that the police had made 1,200 arrests and seized 700 motorcycles, quads or cars since the start of the year throughout the country.

A sentence subject to greater penalties, depending on various factors: two years' imprisonment and a fine of 30,000 euros in the event of collective practice, three years and 40,000 euros if the perpetrators have consumed alcohol, narcotics or drive without a license.
Five years and 75,000 euros if two of the reasons below are met.
