On Sunday, September 4th, the new lift was blessed in the parish church of St. Zeno.
Isen - For 15 years, Pastor Josef Kriechbaumer and many with him have dreamed of barrier-free access to the parish church of St. Zeno in Isen.
The considerations went from a ramp on the north side to the side entrance to a breakthrough through the sacristy window to lowering the entrance from the rectory to the north entrance.
Finally, the lift was approved by the Archbishop's Ordinariate, as well as by the State Building Authority in Freising.
The costs were to be borne by the parish.
Planning: Discussions with the church administration
Then the planning began, as Pastor Kriechbaumer reports.
"For a long time, the difference between a lift and a lifting platform was not clear to us." Initially, access authorization with a key or an app on the cell phone was required.
But the church administration did not want that.
Finally, after some trials and discussions, the lift was implemented in its current form.
And after the first teething problems were eliminated, the lift could be used.
Blessing: The lift has been in operation for a long time
Some have already discovered this help to enter the church for themselves, he tells Pastor.
At the Sunday service on September 4th, the new entrance to the parish church was also blessed by Pastor Josef Kriechbaumer.
Balthasar Nußrainer and his wife Ursula provided the music for the service.
Some of the users of the lift were present at the service and were looking forward to this church blessing.
Pastor Josef Kriechbaumer wished everyone a lot of joy with it.
