The Observatory predicts that a ridge of high pressure will "welcoming the moon" tomorrow (9th) to bring generally fine weather to the southeastern coast of China. The Mid-Autumn Festival (10th) will be sunny for part of the day, and there will be a few showers later in the evening. It is mostly cloudy, and citizens may only see moonlight in the gaps between the clouds.


The Observatory expects a drier continental airstream, which will bring sunny and hot weather to southern China in the middle to late next week. The "Autumn Tiger" will show its power, and the urban area is expected to reach 34 degrees for three consecutive days starting next Wednesday (14th).

The Observatory said that today (8th) the weather along the coast of Guangdong is generally good.

Meanwhile, showers associated with a broad trough of low pressure are affecting the northern part of the South China Sea, and a very hot weather warning was issued at 11:30. As of 12:00 noon, the Observatory recorded a maximum of 32.5 degrees.

The weather is expected to be mostly fine and very hot today, with one or two showers. The easterly wind is moderate and the offshore wind is occasionally refreshing.

Tomorrow will be a "moon meeting". The Observatory predicts that a ridge of high pressure will bring generally fine weather to the southeastern coast of China, and is expected to be very hot and dry during the day, with temperatures expected to range from 28 to 33 degrees.

The Observatory also predicted that from next Wednesday, the weather will be fine and dry for three consecutive days, with extremely hot days and temperatures as high as 34 degrees. The public should pay attention to weather changes.
