Opel Astra brings motorcycle down - two people injured

At a crossroads in Brunnthal, a 59-year-old overlooked a motorcycle - and took two people to the hospital.
Brunnthal – On Wednesday, September 7th, there was a traffic accident in Brunnthal: A car driver missed a motorcyclist and brought him and his passenger down.
At around 5:22 p.m., the 59-year-old from the southern district of Munich drove his Opel Astra west on the M11 district road, the police reported.
Brunnthal: 19-year-old passenger is sitting on the motorcycle
At the same time, a 66-year-old from the Fürstenfeldbruck district was driving his motorcycle north on State Road 2078.
Behind him was a 19-year-old from the Augsburg district on the machine as a passenger.
The two vehicles approached the intersection of the two streets.
The car wanted to turn left, the motorcyclist wanted to continue straight ahead.
There is a stop sign at the entrance to state road 2078 – coming from district road M 11, the Opel Astra driver should have given the motorcycle the right of way.

Brunnthal: Rescue helicopter is approaching
According to the police, the car gave way to the motorcycle and turned left.
The 66-year-old motorcyclist tried to dodge, but was still hit on the side of his vehicle - and fell.
The 66-year-old was seriously injured in the fall and his passenger was slightly injured.
The Opel driver was not injured.
At first, the worst was assumed, and a rescue helicopter arrived.
Brunnthal: road closed, 26,000 euros damage
Ultimately, however, the helicopter was not needed and the injured were taken to a Munich hospital by ambulance.
The junction of the two streets was closed for around one and a half hours.
The motorcycle was totaled and the Opel was also badly damaged.
Total damage: 26,000 euros.
