Forestry elements in the Directorate of Agriculture of Lattakia put out today seven fires in Lattakia, the largest of which was in the village of Al-Shamiya in the north of Lattakia, where the area reached three acres of olives and lemons.
The head of the Forestry Department in the Latakia Agriculture Directorate, Engineer Jaber Sukur, told SANA reporter that a fire had been put out in the village of Al-Bitar in the Qardaha region, which came on agricultural land estimated at one and a half dunams of olives and reeds.
According to Soqour, a fire of an area of one dunum of lemons was also extinguished in Wadi Al-Qalaa’a and Wadi Beit Aana in Jableh, in addition to fires of herbs and reeds in separate areas in Ras Awj in Bahloulia, Ain Eido and Al-Rabiah in the northern countryside of Lattakia and Bsut in the Qardaha countryside.
