The closed country in the world in an alarming move:
North Korea tonight (Friday) passed a law officially anchoring its nuclear weapons policy.
A move that leader Kim Jong-un says makes its nuclear status "irreversible" and prohibits any negotiations on denuclearization, state media reported.
The move comes after observers estimated that North Korea was preparing to resume nuclear tests for the first time since 2017, when historic summits were held with the US. President Donald Trump and other world leaders failed to convince Kim in 2018 to abandon his weapons development.

The Supreme People's Assembly, which passed the law, is actually Kim Jong Un's rubber stamp.
The law describes when nuclear weapons can be used, with one condition being the protection of the country's strategic assets and another condition being when North Korea is attacked.
The law also prohibits any sharing of nuclear weapons or technology with other countries.
"The ultimate meaning of enacting a nuclear weapons policy is to draw an irreversible line so that our nuclear weapons cannot be bargained for," Kim said in a speech to the Supreme People's Assembly.
As you may recall, the Biden administration offered to talk to Kim Jong Un "anytime, anywhere," and South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol said his country would provide massive amounts of economic aid if Pyongyang began giving up its arsenal.
