Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the US Treasury Department's repeated imposition of the ban on Iran's Ministry of Security.
Kanaani said in a statement carried by the Iranian news agency IRNA that the new ban is like the previous illegal US sanctions measures against the Ministry of Security and will not weaken the will and steadfastness of the Iranian people.
Kanaani considered that the immediate US support for "the Albanian government's empty accusation against Iran" and the subsequent quick measures by Washington in imposing a repeated ban on the Iranian Ministry and Minister of Security clearly shows that Washington is the one who designed the accusation scenario in this regard.
The US Treasury had imposed a new ban on the Iranian Ministry of Security and its Minister, Ismail Al-Khatib, under the pretext of an alleged hacking by it targeting Albania, a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
