This Sunday, September 11, the afternoon will be beautiful over three quarters of the country, with sunshine and heat in the Southwest.
According to
La Chaîne Météo*
,
an anticyclone positioned over Algeria will push a ridge towards France, chasing the cold drop towards Denmark and thus bringing a nice improvement.

Heat peak expected on Monday: records could be broken
The southerly flow linked to the approach of ex-hurricane Danielle will invade all of France on Monday.
Temperatures will be 5° to 6°C above the seasonal averages at the national level, and 8° to 10°C above these averages in the South-West, where it will be the hottest.
We can expect peaks between 35° and 36°C very locally at the foot of the Pyrenees.
Some heat records for the month of September could be reached, or even beaten: these date mainly from September 12, 2016 (with, for example, 37°C in Mont-de-Marsan), or even 36.7°C in Agen in September 2005: these values could be beaten, setting new monthly heat records on Monday afternoon.
Elsewhere, the values would be between 30° and 33° south of the Loire, which would be high but would not constitute a record.
