In four days the lists will be closed for the elections to the 25th Knesset and the parties are preparing to submit the list of candidates to the Central Election Committee.

Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid is increasing the pressure to bring about a union with Meretz and Labor, and at the same time the heads of the Zionist spirit Ayelet Shaked and Yoaz Handel announced the dissolution of the partnership and running separately. The ultra-orthodox and Arab parties are in a marathon of meetings to align before the lists are locked and Netanyahu is expected to announce who will win real seats In Likud. What will the list of candidates look like in each party and what are the main points of contention?

The armorers in Likud

The Likud list was largely chosen in the primaries about a month ago, but party chairman Binyamin Netanyahu has 5 more reserves up to the 43rd place, which he needs to confirm at the Likud secretariat which will meet in Tel Aviv on Monday afternoon. Netanyahu intends to reserve the 14th and 16th places on the list MK Amichai Shikli and Idit Silman, refugees from the Yamina Party, and he has one more armor in the real place - in the 28th place, as well as two more armors in the 37th and 43rd place for the man.

In recent weeks, heavy pressure has been placed on Netanyahu to use armor to improve the lack of female representation on the list, or to promote minority representatives higher up the list.

Among other things, MK Gadi Yabarkan, who lost the elections for the immigrant district slot in which he ran, is pressing to get armor as a representative of the Ethiopian community. Netanyahu is also considering armoring a candidate from the Russian sector in one of the places, with the aim of attracting votes from Israel, the home of Avigdor Lieberman. All of Netanyahu's armors will have to to get the approval of the secretariat, which is headed by MK Israel Katz.

Lapid invited Michaeli and Galon to a meeting about unification between Labor and Meretz

Union on the left

In the political system, it is estimated that the chances of the union of the Labor Party and Meretz into a technical block are low to slim, in view of the Labor Party Chairman Marev Michaeli's resolute opposition to a joint run. The Chairman of Yesh Atid, Prime Minister Yair Lapid, tried yesterday to increase the pressure by calling a tripartite meeting with Michaeli and with the chairman of Meretz, Zehava Galon, but in the end no agreements were reached.

In the latest polls published at the end of the week in Maariv and on News 12, Meretz overtook Labor, which now receives 4-5 mandates. Lapid fears that in a separate run, one of the parties will not pass the threshold Michaeli insists that a joint run will reduce the strength of the two parties, weaken the center-left bloc, and transfer mandates of those disillusioned with the union to the joint list and the state camp.

Torah Judaism and the controversy over Liba studies

The differences between the two factions that make up Torah Judaism - Degal HaTorah and Agudat Israel are still significant, but it is estimated that the parties will run together in the upcoming elections as well.

The main concern stems from the fact that a separate run will lead to at least one of the two factions not passing the threshold - a step that will significantly distance the right-wing bloc from 61 mandates.

After a disconnection that lasted for almost a week and a half, the representatives of the factions returned to conduct negotiations last week and apart from arguments about places and positions on the list, there remains one significant dispute centered around the Hasidism of Belez, the second largest Hasidism.

Its spiritual leader, Rebbe Rabbi Dov Ischar Rokah, wants to introduce Livah studies into educational institutions for Hasidic boys through a new route proposed by the Ministry of Education in order to receive budgets from the state - a move that provokes opposition from the Lithuanian faction in the party.

One of the proposals currently being considered in order to reach agreements is that the Shas education network will include Hasidic educational institutions under it and transfer the budgets from the state to it, a move that causes many legal difficulties. So far Netanyahu has been partially involved in the mediation attempts, he met with the heads of the ultra-Orthodox factions but Avoiding a more significant intervention. It is estimated that if the parties do not reach an agreement by next Tuesday, his involvement will become more significant.

Shas: "There may be changes in locations, but not beyond"

Shas is almost the only party that started the election campaign already two weeks ago, and at its center: the cost of living in Israel. No significant changes are expected in its list and the person who will head it is the chairman of the party, MK Aryeh Deri, who resigned from the 24th Knesset after the plea deal that was signed with him due to tax offenses to which he confessed. The party says that there may be changes in positions but not a transition. Deri prefers to avoid such changes also because of the void left by Rabbi Shalom Cohen, the spiritual leader of Shas who passed away recently and the lack of the spiritual leadership that is supposed to approve the composition of the list.

Religious Zionism: "The composition of the list is known"

After the primaries and the unification, the composition of the religious Zionist list, the list of Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir - is known.

The incumbent members of the Knesset will be placed with Smotrich and Ben Gvir has already announced the four candidates on his behalf up to the tenth place.

Religious Zionism is now enjoying good timing in the polls and the party is getting stronger by a mandate or two in the last month.

This week Smotrich and Ben Gabvir may announce the placement of candidates in places 11 and 12, through which they can wink at the liberal religious Zionists who distanced themselves after the union with Ben Gabvir and may be afraid to vote for Ayelet Shaked due to the fact that she is moving away from the blocking percentage.

In the coming weeks, Smotrich and Ben-Gvir will have to fight Netanyahu's Hegeveld campaign, which should hurt them, according to previous elections, by 2-3 mandates.

The Zionist spirit: "a week of significant decisions"

Ayelet Shaked and Yoaz Handel decided to dissolve the partnership in the Zionist spirit and continue running separately, a few days before the closing of the lists.

This, after they moved away from the blocking percentage in the last polls, and according to a Maariv poll on Friday - they stood at only 1.9%.

The decision came following differences of opinion between the two on unification with the Jewish Home, positions on the list and the addition of new figures, as well as unflattering polls that placed the party below the blocking percentage.

Also, the main debate between Shaked, Handel and Hauser dealt with the question of whether to supplement Netanyahu with 61 mandates in favor of forming a narrow right-wing government if a unity government is not formed.

While Shaked supported, Handel and Hauser opposed, even at the cost of more elections.

The two are expected to continue running in the upcoming elections, in two different parties, and according to their environment, they do not intend to retire.

The joint list: "bringing together the tears"

In the joint list, they are still trying to bridge the cracks.

On Friday, it was agreed between Hadash and Balad on a joint run under the conditions, the main of which are "striving for political negotiations to end the occupation, the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside Israel, and dealing with serious crime in Arab society." Ta'al has not yet announced its joining, nor has it chosen a list of candidates.

This, after the retirement of Osama Saadi during the internal elections that took place and after the election of Ahmed Tibi, he held the second place - what played the cards and left the party to decide on repeat elections for its candidate.

Such elections have not yet taken place, although sources in Tel Aviv say that the direction is that the second place will be filled by a representative from the Negev, apparently Dr. Samir Ben Said.

Ayman Odeh, Aida Toma Suleiman, Ofer Kassif and Yosef Atauna are the Hadash candidates, in that order. The Balad candidates are Sami Abu Shahada who is expected to be placed in second place and Tans Shahada who will get the fifth place if Ta'al does not join - and the sixth place If you join. The biggest concern in the joint list is a low rate of voters who are largely fed up with the internal differences of opinion that disintegrated the list that was once the best thing that happened to Israeli Arabs in Israeli politics. According to a survey conducted by Yosef Makalda's Staten Institute, the voting rate in Arab society will stand in the upcoming elections on only 39%.
