“Media and Culture, Wings of the Nation” is the title of a dialogue seminar organized by the Directorate of Culture in Damascus in cooperation with a group of intellectuals, poets, writers and artists from the (Basmat) team at the Abu Rummaneh Cultural Center in Damascus.

The Vice-President of the Syrian Journalists Union Raeda Waqf stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the aim of the symposium is to inform intellectuals and culture about the work of the press and the work of the Union of Journalists in particular, and to provide illuminations about the Syrian press and its challenges and developments since the years of war until now, presenting the obstacles it has faced and discussing The societal concerns and problems that the media should present transparently and objectively.
Waqaf explained that culture is closely related to media and that the main axis that unites them is social communication. The product itself, therefore, media and culture are two wings of a nation.
