The competent authorities seized a car loaded with large quantities of narcotics after it deteriorated on the Homs-Tartous road.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that, after a patrol from the Public Roads Police Station in Tal Kalakh went to the place where a Toyota pickup truck had deteriorated on the Homs-Tartous Highway, west of Al-Zara Bridge, it was found that it contained a large amount of narcotics, so a patrol was called from the Anti-Aging Branch Narcotics, Traffic Branch and Tel Kalakh Police District.
The ministry pointed out that the so-called (Hussam Al-Din.y) was arrested and the narcotics were confiscated, which were hidden in large bags, along with three bombs and a military rifle cache.
The ministry indicated that the confiscations were brought with the arrestee to the Anti-Narcotics Branch Center, where they amounted to 1970 kilograms of narcotic hashish and three million two hundred and seventy thousand Captagon narcotic pills.
The ministry indicated that investigations are still ongoing with the arrested to reveal all those involved in the case and take the necessary measures against them.
