A 68-year-old mountaineer suffered a fatal fall on Sunday September 11 when he fell from a rock climbing route at the start of the normal route of Mont Aiguille in the south of the Vercors, announced the PGHM (Peloton Gendarmerie Haute Montagne) of the 'Isere.
The emergency services received two alerts around 10 a.m. Sunday from witnesses.
Two gendarmes from the PGHM and two doctors from Samu 38 then went to the scene aboard a civil security helicopter.
The sexagenarian "
