A dramatic rescue operation took place in Moosburg on Sunday evening.
A 70-year-old had collapsed - right next to the train tracks.
Moosburg – The 70-year-old from Moosburg wanted to pass the level crossing on Georg-Schweiger-Straße at around 5:30 p.m., but collapsed at that moment and fell unconscious right next to the tracks.
"Due to the autumn show and the pageant with the prime minister, the area was relatively busy," reported Tobias Ziegler from the Moosburg police when asked by FT.
Therefore, the man was discovered relatively quickly by passers-by.
Several people took part in the resuscitation measures and informed the integrated rescue control center.
Train traffic was stopped immediately to protect the rescue workers
They immediately made sure that the train traffic was stopped immediately, so as not to endanger anyone during the resuscitation operation.
The revival was successful, Ziegler reported further.
"The man has since been taken to the hospital.
However, he is in critical condition.”
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular GAP newsletter.)
In addition to the emergency doctor and the occupation of several ambulances, the fire brigade and police were also on site.
Since the deployment report did not initially indicate whether it was a train accident, a larger contingent was deployed, Ziegler explained.
For half an hour nothing went on the route between Moosburg and Landshut.
This caused delays for some rail customers.
According to the Moosburg police station, the track closure was lifted at 6:10 p.m.
