A few days after her death, Queen Elizabeth II is omnipresent in the British capital.
Crowds flock to Buckingham Palace to say goodbye to the Queen.
Everyone in their own way.
Tom: »My grandmother was about the same age as her. Somehow I almost feel like her grandson. I felt connected to her, as does everyone in Britain.«
Nova: "She brought people of different backgrounds and religions together, and I think she'll be remembered for that."
London is in mourning and in royal fever.
The Queen was and is popular, and still is with tourists.
Walizida Wise, souvenir dealer: »Everything we offer from the Queen is currently selling very quickly. We have sold thousands of Queen products, our warehouse is almost empty.«
Britain seems united in mourning the loss of the woman who held the country together.
However, not everyone is enthusiastic about the celebrations surrounding the monarchy.

Noel Halifax, Bookseller: It's all a big circus to distract people. Because of her death, the strikes were called off. The union federation canceled its conference. The great wave of unrest was slowed down, as were the votes on the cost of living, energy prices.«

According to the bookseller, he will have to face some difficulties as the new head of state.
Noel Halifax, Bookseller: 'The Queen was held in high esteem, Charles less so. Many people will not forgive Camilla and will not forget the whole Princess Diana story. The dispute between William and Harry – these family scandals could weaken the new king's emotional hold on the people.”
Concerns that the crowd in front of the palace does not seem to share.
Gladis: "I hope Prince Charles, he will be king, that he will do the same job for the common good and take care of everyone."
Nova: “I was very impressed by King Charles III's speech, his opening speech and his commitment. He will continue what his mother taught him.«
Tom: I know a lot of people are saying he's going to get more involved in politics. I don't know if everyone agrees with that. But it will be interesting to see what he has to offer.«
