In her new book "The Most Beautiful Sunday Walks for All Seasons", Ursula Weber from Bad Tölz shows how to rediscover your homeland and the Tölzer Land.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen -

Anyone who hears the word "Sunday walk" may remember the rather boring trips with the family.

That this does not always have to be the case and, on the contrary, there is much to discover is shown in the newly published excursion book "The most beautiful Sunday walks for all seasons" by the Tölz storyteller and speaker Ursula Weber.

The idea for her new book came to her while researching her two hiking guides that had already been published.

"When walking the routes, I kept discovering nice, small laps, but they were much too short to fit in a hiking book," explains Weber.

For this reason, she decided to publish the one to two hour routes in one go.

A total of 20 excursions to southern Upper Bavaria and 30 attached stories have found their place.

"If you don't have the time or don't feel like doing a half-day or full-day tour, this book is just the thing for you."

Deceleration and relaxation in nature through walks

Weber deliberately chose the term "Sunday walk".

This picture should make it clear what the author is about: deceleration and relaxation in nature.

"I associate Sundays with sleeping in comfortably, coming to rest and simply being calm," says Weber.

Exactly this feeling should also convey the walks.

Not just on Sundays.

When selecting the tours, the author has taken care to lead the reader to paths that are off the beaten track.

So it's not only along roads or well-frequented routes, but also over forest and field paths, small bridges and enchanted paths.

This also applies to the circular route from Finsterwald am Tegernsee to Holz, with a detour to the Hainzenhöhe.

There you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Tegernsee valley.

As the title promises, all tours are accessible all year round.

"But they are particularly attractive at certain times of the year," explains the Tölzerin.

In spring, the Gaißacher Moos with its variety of flowers invite you to linger, while in autumn the Dietramszeller Waldweiher gives a picturesque picture.

The round along the Walchensee from Einsiedl to Zwergern, on the other hand, is rather unsuitable for a quiet stroll in summer.

"There are quite a lot of bathers and cyclists on the way," says Weber.

For an undisturbed experience of nature, she recommends exploring this route in the cold season.

"Winter walks have a special charm for me anyway because of the snow-covered landscape," says the author.

Information on how to get there and the length of the routes

However, the Tölzerin does not have a favorite with her large selection of tours.

"All the walks that made it into the book are among my favorite tours," says Weber.

They are perfect for enjoying nature with all your senses.

"Some people overlook the paradisiacal landscape in which we actually live," explains the author.

Her book is a stimulus to see one's own homeland through different eyes and to get to know one another.

In addition to information on the length and variation of the routes, access by public transport is also given.

As with her previous books, the tour descriptions are accompanied by short stories and poems "to make you smile and pause".

This time, however, without the other local reference.

Instead, alongside fairy tales from different countries, there are short stories and short poems.
