Over an hour and a half, a musical evening was held, organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music in the Ministry of Culture, entitled “Qadna Al-Mayyas” and presented to lovers of this authentic art a variety of muwashshahs, lyrical links and qadood, which were not greatly touched, in addition to singing new poems from Aleppo’s songs.

In an interview with a SANA reporter, the owner of the resonant voice, the artist Safwan Al-Abed, said, “This traditional rap was known to Syria, but the city of Aleppo was famous for it, which was distinguished between the muwashshah and the cod.

He stressed the importance of preserving this authentic tarab color, which is part of our civilization, by eating the muwashshah and the Aleppo cod, which is a popular heritage handed down by generations.

Musician Zaghloul pointed out that the artist Safwan Al-Abed is one of the most important pillars of singing, rapture and artistic culture, who was contemporary with the greats of singing, such as the artist Sabah Fakhri. By raising the artistic taste, indicating that the audience of Damascus deserves to enjoy this kind of music in the Azem Palace, which bears an ancient Damascene peculiarity.

Percussionist Abdul Latif Khan Tomani highlighted the diversity of musical notes that characterize the muwashahat, the dawr and the qad, such as the sama`i, the Hindi dawr, the darj and the masmudi.
