A dry continental airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong.
At 5 a.m., strong typhoon Meihua gathered about 300 kilometers east-southeast of Taipei, and was expected to move northward at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour, crossing the waters east of Taiwan.
