Carriage ride ends in hospital: four people and a horse injured

The carriage ride in Euskirchen ended for four inmates and a horse with a stay in the clinic.

There was an accident with a carriage in Euskirchen.

The four occupants were injured – as was the horse harnessed to the vehicle.

Euskirchen - A carriage trip with consequences occurred on Sunday, September 11, at 1:40 p.m. in Euskirchen.

"Due to a sprinkler system, a horse that was in front of a carriage shied away," said the Euskirchen district police authority.

The team of horses was coming from the direction of "Sandgrubenweg" along the path "AmRumut".

The carriage then overturned and the four occupants fell out of the vehicle.

Two people were seriously injured in the fall, the other two people were slightly injured, the police said.

The carriage threw itself into the adjacent bushes and came to a stop there, reports 24RHEIN.

There the animal with the horseshoes apparently slipped on the asphalt and fell.

The horse was also injured.

Three people were taken to hospitals.

The fourth person consulted a doctor independently.

The horse was taken to a horse clinic by horse transporter.

It was only in April that a 17-year-old was thrown out of the vehicle in a carriage accident in Wiehl (Oberbergischer Kreis).

At that time a pony died.
