It's not just fuel prices that have recently risen sharply - electricity prices too.

The ADAC has now compiled a list of the most economical electric cars.

The number of electric cars on German roads is growing - even if the proportion of electric vehicles in Germany is still lagging behind other countries.

The willingness to buy an e-car is also growing.

But recently, many providers have increased their prices significantly - which is why low consumption is an important criterion for many potential buyers when buying.

The ADAC has now compiled a list of the most economical electric cars - even a luxury model is included.

According to a listing by the ADAC, the Fiat500e is currently the most economical electric car.

The top 3 of the list, which includes a total of 30 vehicles, is not surprising: because these are three micro or small cars that consume particularly little electricity.

The Fiat 500e (23.8 kWh) is at the forefront with a standard consumption of 13 kWh/100 km – followed by the Dacia Spring Essential (13.9 kWh/100 km) and the Hyundai Kona Electric (39.2 kWh), whose The manufacturer states consumption of 14.3 kWh/100 km.

Electric cars: Not only small cars can be economical on the road

However, not only small cars are economical, as the compilation of the ADAC shows.

Mid-range vehicles such as the Toyota bZ4X or the Tesla Model 3 are also represented in the top 10.

And among the 30 most frugal electric vehicles, there are even two models from the luxury class and the upper middle class: the Mercedes EQS 450+ AMG Line (16 kWh/100 km) and the Mercedes EQE 300 AMG Line (16.4 kWh/100 km). .

And vice versa, not every small car is automatically more economical than larger models.

For example, the Peugeot e-208, Opel Corsa-e and Renault Twingo Electric ended up a little further down the list - even some mid-range vehicles.

Here are the ten most fuel-efficient electric cars identified by the Automobile Club:
