The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mohamed Seif El-Din, put the Golan Center for People with Disabilities into service after it was rehabilitated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Quneitra.
Minister Seif El-Din was briefed during a tour in the province about the reality of the work of the Social Welfare Institute in the town of Nabe’ al-Sakhr and the Youth Empowerment Center (Ahl al-Sham Initiative Foundation) and the training and rehabilitation courses it provides to provide young people entering the labor market with the necessary scientific and practical skills, and heard from the trainees about the extent to which they benefited from the implemented courses Develop their expertise and their suggestions in a way that contributes to the development of the work of the Center.
In a statement to reporters, Minister Seif El-Din announced that a study would be conducted to create educational schools for people with disabilities and to pay attention to relief work in all regions of the governorate according to the most needy and the poorest.
In turn, the Governor of Quneitra, Engineer Moataz Abu Al-Nasr Jamran, pointed to the support of the Social Welfare Institute in Nabe` Al-Sakhr with equipment, fuel and trainers.
Syria Pulse Association provided medical equipment for people with disabilities, including wheelchairs, stethoscopes, eyeglasses, balls and baskets for the needs of people with motor disabilities and cerebral palsy for young and old.
