The American gaming giant Zynga announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the Israeli start-up Storemaven and that it will significantly expand its operations in Israel.

The company intends to integrate the technology developed in Israel in its business units, establish a research and strategic development center in Israel and recruit hundreds of employees in the coming years.

Stormhaven employs approximately 50 people in Israel, all of whom will join the purchasing company immediately.

Stormaven was founded in 2015 by

Gad Maor

(CEO),

Adam

Chaiv (President)

and Eldad Abel

(Head of Product), who were also co-founders of the startup Shaker, which was sold to Playstudios Global in 2016.

Stormhaven develops technologies for analyzing business data for giant companies in the field of applications and games including Zynga, and is established as the leading company in the world in the field of optimizing the Apple and Google application stores.

With the purchase, Zynga intends to increase its investment and use of Stormhaven's technology, establish its control over the development, growth and marketing of its games - a move it began with the purchase of the advertising and monetization platform Chartboost about a year ago - and strengthen its position and that of its parent company

Take-Two

Interactive,

as a leader worldwide in the field of interactive entertainment.

Take-Two, which completed the purchase of Zynga last May for $12.7 billion, is one of the largest game companies in the world, and owns super brands such as Rockstar, responsible for the

GTA and Red Dead Redemption

games or

2K,

the developer of the

NBA2K game series.

The purchase of Zynga earlier this year was intended to give Take-Two a wider foothold in the growing field of mobile gaming, where Zynga is a global name with successful titles such as

FarmVille and CSR2.

The combined company employs more than 10,000 people worldwide.

This is a rare step of its kind for a company the size of Take-Two - the first developer of AAA games to take the significant step of establishing an R&D center in Israel.
