State of Play September 13, 2022 (photo: official website, Sony)
Tonight (between Tuesday and Wednesday) at 01:00 (Israel time) the Sony company broadcast a State of Play event that lasted about 20 minutes and revealed all the games that will arrive in the near future.
The broadcast focused on some of the Japanese distributors, and among all the standard announcements we got a trailer that alone was worth staying for the end.
So what did we have?

Tekken 8
The broadcast opens with a Tekken 8 gameplay trailer that shows us an in-game battle between Jin and Kazuya.
The high standard of Tekken games has been maintained, and it certainly looks like Capcom is going to deliver an enjoyable beat-'em-up title for veteran players of the brand.
The date of the game has not yet been announced, and more details will be revealed later.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge
A new virtual reality game to be released for PS VR 2 in the Star Wars universe.
The players will play a droid mechanic who gets into an unexpected adventure and will help the local gang repel the forces of the First Order on the planet Batu.
Will be released towards 2023.
Demeo
Another title for PS VR 2 presents us with a dungeon crawl style card game where the players are in a maze, fighting monsters, avoiding traps, solving puzzles and of course hunting for loot that will improve their pack.
Players will even be able to tag along with friends for an online Co-Op experience.
And everything is in virtual reality.
Sony hasn't revealed the broadcast date, but we're guessing it's coming out towards 2023 as well.
Like a Dragon: Ishin!
"A new game in which we will play a samurai who goes on a journey that will start the biggest revolution in Japan."
Or at least that's how the trailer describes the game, right before it introduces us to good old Hack and Slash and bloody sword fights.
Oh and a tiger, there is a tiger.
Will be released on PlayStation 4 and 5 February 2023.
Hogwarts Legacy
The open world game in the Harry Potter universe gets a new trailer that gives us a glimpse of the exclusive quest that PlayStation players will get: Haunted Hogsmeade Shop.
Pacific Drive
A first-person survival driving game in a post-apocalyptic world.
If you've ever wanted to go on a roadtrip through hell, this game is just for you.
Will be released for PlayStation 5 during 2023.
Playstation Stars
Sony has a new free subscription program that players can sign up for and participate in activities to win digital figurines of familiar characters or hardware and accessories from the company's history.
It is important to note that these are not NFTs, and are digital items that cannot be sold to collectors only.
Synduality
A game in which the players will explore the dystopian planet Amasia, closely accompanied by their battle robot - Magus.
Will be released during 2023.
Stellar Blade
What happens when you take an anime game that resembles a combination of Devil May Cry, Nier Automata, and Bayonetta?
Get the Stellar Blade game.
The game was first revealed on the State of Play broadcast in September 2021, where it was named Project EVE.
Rise of the Ronin
I swear the entire trailer I was sure it was a surprise announcement of Ghost of Tsushima 2. In fact, until the name of the game appeared and proved me otherwise, I kept telling myself that it was probably a sequel that goes the way of Red Dead Redemption 2, and presents the end of the samurai era.
When I tried to think in my head whether it fits historically, the name of the game has already been revealed and I realized that it is not Ghost of Tsushima 2. Fragment.
God of War Ragnarök DualSense Controller
Sony revealed right before the end of the ceremony its new DualSense controller which is designed inspired by the fighting game, and will be available with the launch on 9.11.

Sony definitely saved the best for last, and we get a new Ragnarök trailer that gives us a broader look at the game's plot, and Kratos' anticipated battle with none other than the thunder god - Thor.
