Commercial development in Schwaig: Neighbor Eitting would like a corridor for a cycle path to the S-Bahn

A mammoth project for the municipality of Oberding is development plan no. 75 special area for airport-related businesses in Schwaig.
There, the commercially used building areas will be expanded by almost 20 hectares to the east.
Head of administration Josef Steinkirchner has now informed the local council of Eitting, as the neighboring municipality, about the current situation.
Because the VG partner from Oberding had now submitted the documents for the project for the submission of a statement.
Eitting/Schwaig – According to Steinkirchner, things should start next year.
Now only the first step in the process is pending.
The demand for commercial space in the municipality of Oberding is high, and numerous interested companies have already introduced themselves to the municipal council (we reported several times).
Municipal councilor Josef Straßer (Ortsliste Reisen) suggested releasing a corresponding corridor in order to free up a connecting road from Reisen and Eitting to the planned S-Bahn station there.
"A bike path should come to the S-Bahn," said Steinkirchner.
According to the head of the municipality, Reinhard Huber, a cycle path from Eittinger Flur in the direction of the airport was also an issue at a mayor's meeting in the district office when the general cycle path situation was discussed.
For cost reasons, however, this can only be realized when the ring is closed.
In general, public transport is to be expanded during the construction project.
For example, a direct bus connection to the train station via the commercial area is under discussion - particularly important for the employees there.
As is well known, a public multi-storey car park with 500 parking spaces is being built south of Schwaigerloh station.
Huber made the second change to the development plan No. 55 Oberding Süd IV on the short official route.
Instead of two single houses, two semi-detached houses with four single garages are now being built.
The mayor immediately approved it.
He informed the council about it.
