Food controls in Daraa against private bakeries for violations of weight and quality of the loaf

During the past two days, the patrols of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa organized 18 catering controls against owners of private bakeries, shops and electrical stores.

Director of Internal Trade Yahya Abdullah stated, in a statement to SANA reporter today, that the bakeries of the town of Ibta’ al-Arba’, al-Naima bakeries, Sidon, al-Shajara, al-Sheikh Miskeen, al-Sanamayn bakeries, Saham al-Golan, Koya and Heit were seized with violations related to weight loss, poor bread making, and non-compliance with working hours, stressing that the directorate’s employees follow up on a daily basis the bakeries’ work to handle problems directly.

He pointed out that the Consumer Protection Patrols organized two arrests against the owners of two shops and an electrical shop in the city of Daraa for violating the lack of regular invoices.
