Ukraine pushed back the Russians in the east.

During their retreat, Vladimir Putin's soldiers probably left a lot behind.

To the amazement and delight of Ukrainians.

Kharkiv - At least a temporary turning point in the Ukraine war seems to have been reached: Kiev's troops - after having been on the defensive for months - went on the offensive and reported large territorial gains in the east of the country.

The Russians have disappeared from many localities - and while Moscow speaks of a tactical regrouping, their legacy paints a different picture.

Because in the conquered areas, the soldiers of Ukraine are apparently finding masses of military equipment that the Russians left behind.

There can be little talk of an orderly, tactical regrouping in these pictures.

Russians flee - Ukraine finds masses of abandoned weapons and ammunition

In the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region, Ukraine discovered about an entire ammunition depot.

This is reported

by Ukrinform

, citing a spokesman for the domestic secret service SBU.

"The Russian occupiers are fleeing under pressure from the Ukrainian soldiers, leaving behind entire arsenals," wrote spokesman Wladyslaw Abdula via Facebook, posting photos of neatly arranged boxes of ammunition.

But the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced an even bigger find on Sunday.

The ministry shared a video on Twitter, allegedly taken by a Ukrainian soldier.

In the clip, he is visibly surprised himself at how many well-preserved armored vehicles the Russians left behind.

"And here are the presents," says the actor at the beginning of the video.

According to him, a number of tanks are functional.

'Tanks for everyone': Ukrainians surprised at what Russians left behind

Later in the clip, he shows himself surprised by the mass of vehicles left behind: "Everyone gets a tank.

Really, there are enough tanks for everyone," he says in the clip, adding, looking at the retreating Russians, "Look at how they ran."

It is not known where and when the video was taken.

In any case, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is using the clip to spread malice over Russia.

The post accompanying the video said: "Russia is trying to maintain and even improve its status as the largest supplier of military equipment to the Ukrainian army."
