Putin: "The economic blitz and the attack did not work"

Ukrainian authorities also reported that they had captured so many Russian prisoners of war that there was no room in the country to house them, according to the AP.
Deputy heads of 18 districts in Moscow and St. Petersburg signed a public statement demanding that Putin resign.
"We, the deputy heads of the local councils of Russia, believe that the actions of President Vladimir Putin are harmful to the future of Russia and its citizens," said a statement issued by Ksenia Turstrum, the deputy local council of the Semanovsky District in St. Petersburg.
